Shadows, silhouettes and reflections emerge from layers of saturated colour, with her recent work focussing on the psychological effects of light and colour, particularly when experienced in the natural world.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003e‘I am fascinated how the lengthening shadows on a winter’s evening can evoke a melancholic feeling, in contrast to the hope and optimism that is stirred by the poetic glints of morning sunlight’.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eFiona has a BA in Fine Arts (Painting), RMIT (2000) and has exhibited in solo and group shows in Australia (as well as in the US whilst on a university exchange scholarship). She has worked in various positions in the visual arts sector, ranging from the art facilitator at Darwin Prison to recently running her own gallery.
