Born and raised in the picturesque Lake District of Northern England, Lisa’s artistic journey began in childhood under the encouragement of her late mother, who nurtured her love of painting and drawing. This early passion led her to formal studies in art and design at Cumbria College of Art and Design, before she relocated to Australia in 2004 — a move that would further shape and expand her creative language.
Deeply inspired by art, design, travel and culture, Lisa draws influence from her surroundings and lived experiences. Whether snorkelling along the coast, walking through forest landscapes or exploring the forms and rhythms of a new city, she finds beauty in both nature and architecture. These influences inform her evolving visual vocabulary, with each work representing a moment within an ongoing creative journey.
Lisa works across a diverse range of mediums including acrylic, ink, impasto, oil pastels, pen and pencil, allowing texture and spontaneity to play an integral role in her process. For her, creativity is both a joy and a form of connection — one she is grateful to share with a global audience.
