Trevor Purvis is an award-winning Australian landscape artist celebrated for his expressive depictions of the outback. After a successful 30-year international career in advertising, he shifted focus to painting, completing studies at the National Art School in Sydney. Purvis's work is characterised by bold colour use and gestural brushwork, capturing the unique textures and hues of Australia's diverse terrains. He often paints en plein air, immersing himself in remote locations like the Darling River, MacDonnell Ranges, and Cooper Creek, later refining these studies in his Cooroy studio. "Australian Sienna" and"Interpreting the Outback," have been showcased in galleries such as Noosa Regional Gallery and Broken Hill City Art Gallery.
