Bronwyn Barton - Originals & Fine Art Prints

Bronwyn Barton is a Noosa based contemporary artist whose work emerges from her home studio nestled within the subtropical bushland of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Largely self taught, Barton began painting in 2008 driven by a passion for creative experimentation rather than formal training. Her practice is informed by keen observation of her natural surroundings,the colours, textures, light, lines and shadows of bushland landscapes that she experiences every day.  

Barton’s paintings, whether semi-abstract explorations or more representational approaches are characterised by rich layering, expressive mark making and a dynamic interplay between colour and space. Her intuitive process embraces experimentation: she builds depth through successive layers, drawing the viewer into a visual dialogue that rewards both distant viewing and close inspection.
