Possum Mountain (Mt Cooroy)

Artist Statement: After returning home from six weeks touring England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland and painting in France last year, I became aware of just how beautiful my own part of the world was. I started to really look at the place I had called home for the past twenty-five years with a new appreciation. The changing seasons brought about flushes of new growth and colours and everything seemed to demand attention. Possum Mountain or Cooroy Mountain overlooking the township of Cooroy is hard to miss as all roads go around it. The sinking sun slides down behind the mountain creating a kaleidoscope of colours.
