Nature’s Sea Garden
Inspired by the fragile beauty of underwater ecosystems, Nature’s Sea Garden explores the movement, colour and layered textures found beneath the ocean surface. Transparent and opaque glass fragments are fused and slumped to create a sense of depth, light and organic growth, reminiscent of coral formations, sea grasses and shifting tidal currents.
The sculptural steel base, created by Peter Smith, anchors the work and contrasts with the fluid translucency of the glass, reinforcing the relationship between strength and delicacy within nature.
This piece reflects my ongoing fascination with water landscapes and the ever-changing rhythms of the sea. Through colour, texture and light, I aim to evoke both wonder and reflection on the beauty and vulnerability of marine.
